From Coach Whiteman:
I must say that adding 8 new players to
the team, I did not expect to be playing
in the championship game the first tournament
of the season! This is a compliment to
the new players we added, as well as to
the commitment and hard work of the returning
players. Every team we played was in a
higher division than us (either ODSL or
NCSL). We're off to a good start!
We received a lot of compliments from
the coaches of the other teams, which is
especially nice considering we only had
one prior scrimmage and Saturday's second
game was the first time we all met as a
team. I also want to thank those players
who sacrificed their personal desires to
play for the team. Thanks also to the parents
who made sure all the boys were at the
field on time (especially this morning).
Thanks to all of the boys who gave their
all while on the field!
