Philosophy:
I believe that playing soccer
should be fun so that players want to
come back and continue to play. That being
said, we are also trying to build skills
to stay competitive and advance as a team.
We are trying to teach not only soccer
skills, but good sportsmanship as well.
I expect players to come to practice and
games properly equipped (shin guards,
ball and water). There are 8 mandatory
practices/month (2 per week). If you need
to miss a practice (illness, doctor's
appoinments, etc.), please call or email
me as I plan practices based on numbers.
Attendance is important for skill development
and team cohesion, and it can impact playing
time. I will also try to schedule scrimmages
to offer players the opportunity for more
touches and to play different positions.
As far as my expectations for parents,
I would like you to be positive, cheer
on players, be on time and participate
in team activities as much as you can.
